This is an interview with Arthur, a resident of Harrison House. Harrison House is an alcohol and drug free residence. HH was established in 1997 with a strong and solid commitment to assisting people who are begining their recovery process and who are in need of regaining their lives. Their mission is to provide safe low-income housing in one of our 6 houses to individuals with chemical and alcohol dependences and to encourage an opportunity for positive change. Harrison House uses a effective approach to aiding in recovery; by providing a safe/clean environment and by encouraging the healthy growth of a recovering addict. YouTube WLC is my only support in WL right now so this is my vent and call to others to participate in releasing and addressing the addictions in our lives to get to a better place. When I think back to when I was a child, I would make sandwiches and hide them from my family. If they were to walk in the room I had a spot I would hide that delicious sandwich until they left the room. I thought I had recovered from it, but oviously, it’s an ongoing issue for me. I’m not hiding it anymore. Please join me. What is your Confession of Addiction? Leave your comment or video response.. bring accountability to the fore front. Thanks! Amy

Mmm soft chocolate chip cookies. I learned VERY fast that those cookie containers like that are GONE in at least 2 days with me, 100%. I think it’s a constant learning lesson with foods for people like you & I. I still come across things at least every few grocery trips that I buy once and realize, alright never again, I can’t – too dangerous.

I like your pissed off attitude girl, get mad, get angry, get passionate & that’s when the fire comes and drive for success. I love this, thank you.

God Bless You !!! I too am a food addict !!! That is why I do NOT buy any high calorie goodies for my kitchen, ice cream, cookies, chips, soda, candy etc. And also avoid high calorie fast food items. If I decide to eat something that I know is way too many calories, fat whatever – I will limit myself to a serving only !!! That means purchasing one serving only – I can NOT be trusted to buy a box of something and ration it out a portion at a time – I AM NO GOOD AT THAT, totally out of control !

hey I am in the same boat. You need to check out my videos. I again at lunch bought more food than i needed and convinced myself that it was ok because the waitress would think I was buying for more than one person. Why do I do that? It took some effort for me to admit I do this. I am trying to find something to admit or realize each day about my current overweight situation. Good luck with your mission.
